Social Marketing Success Starts With Education

We know that by telling people about things that interest you, and hopefully them, that you are on your way to becoming a social person, which is great. However, to become a "social marketer", you will still need to know a few things in order to take your business to the next level.
Like any other skill you possess, there are a few key things that have to be learned before you can really get into the swing of using those skills.
There are two basic types of social marketing strategies to use that will make an impact on your business, they are "Social Networking" and "Social Bookmarking". Before we go any further, let me just explain how I see the difference between these two types:
Social Networking - is the process by which we communicate our beliefs or feelings about a product, service, or event that we have knowledge of or a personal experience with.
Sample: When we get a great steak at dinner we tell people to visit the restaurant to get the steak because we had a good experience.
Social Bookmarking - Is the process by which we share "website links" that we liked or found interesting with other people who may also find them interesting.
Sample: i bookmark a site I enjoyed about funny pet photos in my stumbleupon account and you might see it also if your interested in funny pet photos
While the difference is subtle, the main consideration is that social networking sites, like Squidoo or Facebook allow you to enter and create your very own content pages. (like this one). Where as social bookmarking sites may (or may not) allow you to create content, but do allow for you to display a link to content you liked.
By the way...do you want to learn exactly how to explode your website traffic with the power of social bookmarking and social networking sites?
